Our Mule Deer hunts are one week only, the last week of October, and are unlimited controlled hunts. Unlimited controlled means that you have to apply for these particular hunts. You are assured of a tag; however you are restricted to the area and the one week only, and cannot participate in any other Mule Deer season in Idaho that year.
*There is a possibility that in 2010 this hunt might change from an unlimited controlled to a capped hunt. "Capped hunts" are those with only a certain number of tags, as determined by Idaho Fish and Game Deptartment. They are issued for the season on a first come first serve basis. Because of this possibility, it is very important that you make your reservations with Ken Smith's Hunting Idaho early, so we can make sure you get a tag.
    We are offering two types of Mule Deer hunts during this period. The first option is a pack in hunt by horseback to a remote tent camp. The second option is a town based hunt, where you will stay at a local motel and guides will meet you each morning and drive you to a hunting area each day, returning to the motel after hunting each day. On this hunt, clients are responsible for their motel and meal cost.
